Screen-printed XL platter David Allyn
$950.00
Masterfully crafted porcelain platter with screen printed photograph of the the Providence power plant (also known as the Manchester Street Generating Station) originally constructed in 1903. Designed as a wall hanging but fully functional as a serving platter.
Multi-faceted artist David Allyn does all his own photography, burns his own screens for printing (dozens for this piece alone), tints his own porcelain slips to match the color code CMYK, screen prints the image and glaze in the background, and adds an additional screen printed image to the back on the platter. Exquisitely executed and technically astonishing work.
Dimensions: 19” x 19” x 1.5”
